We are excited to announce that Dr. Sarah Smolley will be joining the staff at The Drake Center! Dr. Smolley will provide relief work at our hospital for the duration of Dr. Moore’s maternity leave, which begins in November. She will make a great addition to our veterinary team and we are very excited to have her!

Dr. Sarah Smolley received her doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) degree from the University of California, Davis in 2012. She then completed a rotating small animal internship at the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego. Dr. Smolley has special interests in both internal and emergency medicine.

Dr. Smolley currently lives with her adorable pit bull terrier, Henry, who loves running and playing fetch at the beach. An alumnus of the University of California San Diego’s women’s crew team, Dr. Smolley loves all boating activities. She also enjoys running, swimming, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

A note from Dr. Smolley:

“The Drake Center offers such an inviting workplace and I look forward to joining the positive and hardworking group of doctors, technicians, kennel assistants and front staff there. I am excited to offer the same high-quality medicine and preventative care to clients as the rest of the staff at The Drake Center and am grateful for the opportunity to work with clients and pets in the Encinitas and surrounding communities.”
