Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Nicholas Duke earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee. During veterinary school, he completed an externship in the San Diego area and visited with his wife for leisure which deepened their appreciation for the region and its lifestyle. Between the beautiful scenery, welcoming community, and laid-back lifestyle, they both quickly fell in love. After graduating, they knew San Diego was where they wanted to be and made it their permanent home.
Dr. Duke is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine, with interests in internal medicine and preventive care. He values open communication and client education, and he believes in building collaborative, team-based relationships with pet owners to ensure every patient receives personalized, high-quality care.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Duke enjoys spending time with his wife and their three small dogs. He also loves staying active at the gym, relaxing at the beach, and keeping up with his favorite TV shows.
